Group Therapy
Neurodiversity Group for Tweens: A 12-week series consisting of weekly 90 minute group sessions for kids ages 9-13. The series will consist of three 4-week units:
1. Emotional Regulation (Topics include: Mindfulness, identifying and expressing emotions, coping skills, and impulse control)
2. Social Skills (Topic include: Making and keeping friends, conflict resolution, assertive communication, and bullying)
3. Mental health and neurodiversity (Topics include: The brain, the body and the nervous system; embracing neurodiversity; anxiety, self-care, mood, and more)
You may elect for your child to participate in one of the month-long units, or all 12 weeks for a reduced fee. Each group will consist of sharing/processing, a lesson, skills practice, and interactive activities (art, games, Lego challenges, roleplaying). Parents are asked to participate during the final portion of each group.
